Opening Hours

How to Make an Appointment

In person and telephone appointments can be booked via Receptionon020 8462 1601.

In person and telephone consultation appointments are available online by booking through the NHS App or Patient Access.

Urgent appointments for the same day are only bookable by calling Reception at 8 am.

Patients can book a non-urgent appointment by calling Reception,coming in to the Surgery to speak to the Receptionist, or booking through the NHS App or Patient Access.

Appointments can be pre-booked up to 4 weeks in advance.

Cancelling Your Appointment

When you receive an appointment at the Practice, please ensure that you arrive on time for an in person appointment.

For telephone consultations please ensure you are available to answer the telephone with a good signal if you have a mobile phone.

The clinicians will call you as near as they can to your appointment time but please allow flexibility around this time.

If you can no longer make your appointment, it is very important you let the practice know so this can be offered to another patient. A lot of money is wasted in the NHS every year by patients who do not attend a booked appointment.

If you receive an appointment reminder via text message and want to cancel it, you can text back CANCEL which will immediately cancel the appointment. Alternatively, you can call your practice to cancel your appointment.

Home Visits

Home visits are only for patients who are housebound or too ill to attend the surgery. It is better for you to be seen at the surgery where there are better diagnostic tools and better facilities to properly assess you.

If you require a home visit please call Reception on 020 8462 1601as soon as possible in the morning and give the receptionist your details.

Best times to call the Surgery

The Surgery is usually busier at the start of the week. You may prefer to call later in the week instead.

Accurx is the easy-to-use platform where patients and healthcare professionals communicate.

Our software connects people across the system to make NHS professionals happier and patients healthier.

Healthcare professionals use our communication software to contact their patients via SMS, email and the NHS App – all to give you better access to care.

Extended Access

Bromley GPs are now providing more patient appointments in the evenings and at weekends. This enhanced access service is provided by the Hayeswick PCN and a limited number of Digital GP (initially telephone consultation) and Face to Face GP appointments are available from 6.30 pm to 8 pm in the evening during the week, and between 9 am and 5 pm on a Saturday.

Appointments may also be booked with a Pharmacist, Nurse or HCA if appropriate.

There are two different locations for this service:

• Addington Rd Surgery, 77 Addington Road, West Wickham, BR4 9BG

• Beckenham Clinic, 14 the Crescent, Beckenham, BR3 1DU (on the corner by M&S car park)

If you need to see a GP urgently when this Practice is closed, please call 111.

Please note that walk-in appointments are not offered with this service, and only patients with pre-booked appointments via their GP practice or NHS 111 will be seen.

Out of Hours – NHS 111

If you have an urgent health problem that cannot wait until your doctor is open, then call free phone 111. Your call will be answered by trained operators who will provide advice and direct you to the right local service.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones. You can call 111 anywhere in England making it easier for you to access urgent healthcare services when you need medical help fast.

Urgent Care Centres

If you have an urgent and severe but non-life-threatening illness or injury, go to an urgent care centre.

Bromley has two urgent care centres, the hours and locations are as follows:

Princess Royal University Hospital

• Opening times: Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including all bank holidays
• Location: Princess Royal University Hospital, Ground floor, North Wing, Farnborough Common, Orpington BR6 8ND

Beckenham Beacon

• Opening times: Open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week, including all bank holidays
• Location: Beckenham Beacon, 379 Croydon Road, BR3 3QL

Depending on where you live in Bromley, your nearest urgent care centre could also be located in Lewisham or Croydon:

Croydon University Hospital

• Opening times: Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including all bank holidays
• Location: 530 London Road, Croydon CR9 1PJ

University Hospital Lewisham

• Opening times: Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including all bank holidays
• Location: Lewisham High Street, London SE13 6LH
