18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (2024)

I’ve been to Las Vegas more times than I can count, especially during my days as a broke college student. Eating for cheap on the Strip has ALWAYS been a challenge.

Even now as a fully grown adult, I’m not keen on dropping tons of cash on something that’s going to be digested and, well, you know the rest.

I’m always on the hunt for cheap eats in Vegas—places that fill you up without emptying your wallet (and without making you feel like trash either). After many years of food-hunting on the Strip, I’ve finally decided to compile my own list of cheap places to eat on the Strip!

In this guide, I’ll kick things off with some affordable breakfast spots on the Strip, followed by our favorite spots for lunch and dinner (there are even some restaurants open well into the late-night hours, too).

Some of these places are entire food halls, so you’ll have multiple budget-friendly choices all in one place. By the end, you’ll have 50+ spots to choose from for your next budget-friendly Vegas trip.

Eggslu*t (The Cosmopolitan)

18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (1)

Eggslu*t (at The Cosmo) isn’t just a catchy name—it’s an egg-lover’s paradise. As its name suggests, there’s a cage-free egg in almost everything on Eggslu*t’s menu.

Indulge in their signature Fairfax sandwich (their most Instagrammed sando), packed with fluffy scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, and sriracha mayo wedged between two brioche buns.

For something way more luxurious, go for the Gaucho, featuring seared wagyu tri-tip steak, cage-free over medium egg, chimichurri sauce, red onions, and dressed arugula in a warm brioche bun!

Most menu items are priced at under $12.

5 Dollar Cafe

If you’re searching for a no-frills, budget-friendly breakfast spot near The STRAT, the 5 Dollar Cafe is your answer. This old-school style restaurant, tucked inside a small casino, offers classic breakfast dishes like eggs, bacon, and toast for just $5-6.

Expect pretty decent, homemade food served on disposable plates with plastic silverware. Like we said, no frills.

The catch is that the $5 deals only apply to breakfast (which is served until 2 pm). They also have entrees better suited for lunch/dinner like burgers, gyro, fried rice, pad thai, and other Thai dishes. These can range anywhere from $11-15.

Address: 2200 Las Vegas Blvd S Las Vegas, NV 89104

Breakfast buffet at Grand Lux Cafe (The Venetian)

18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (2)

If simple breakfast foods are your thing, you’ll love what’s on offer atThe VenetianandPalazzo’sGrand Lux Cafe. In a nutshell, Grand Lux Cafe offers a great morning ambiance and an unbeatable breakfast buffet price for being on the Las Vegas Strip.

The buffet is for breakfast only, priced at $27.95 for adults.Their menuconsists of everything that you’d want from a typical breakfast, except it’s all-you-can-eat!

At the breakfast buffet, you’ll find all the typical options to start your day off right including made-to-order omelets filled with your favorite ingredients, alongside crispy hash browns and perfectly cooked waffles. The buffet also features classic breakfast staples like eggs, bacon, sausage, and ham, as well as an assortment of fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, bagels, and pastries.

While it’s not the most extravagant buffet on the Strip, it sure is budget-friendly when it comes to price. They also allow you to order off the regular menu if don’t want a buffet.

Address: Inside both the Venetian Tower and Palazzo Tower; 3355 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109

The Buffet at Excalibur

18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (3)

Here’s yet another great option for those of you who want an all-you-can-eat option. While the rest of Excalibur is not much to write home about, the brunch buffet here is truly not bad! (It’s certainly better than the one at nearby MGM Grand.)

The Buffet at Excaliburserves a weekday and weekend brunch at its six hot and cold stations covering American, Asian, Italian, and Latin dishes. You can enjoy made-to-order omelets, iced shellfish, smoked brisket, and even beef birria.

Round out your meal with the many options at the dessert station — we’re talking bread pudding, crepes, doughnuts, cakes, frozen custard, and more.

Weekday brunch runs from Monday through Thursday and costs $31.99 for adults (children 5-11 are $17.99). You can enjoy their Weekend Brunch every Saturday and Sunday for $37.99 (children 5-11 are $18.99).

This buffet is on the smaller side compared to other pricier buffets, but the price is hard to beat if you’re considering abreakfast/brunch buffet in Vegas.

Address: 3850 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada 89109

Pro Tip

If you play any of the myVEGAS mobile app games, you can get even sweeter discounts on buffets at various MGM Resorts. We’ve eaten at the buffets at Excalibur and Bellagio with 2-for-1 buffet vouchers. For a party of 2, this would make entry to the Excalibur buffet just $16 per person!

Just be sure to redeem your rewards at home (because they won’t show up in the app once you’re in Vegas).

Grand Lux Cafe (The Venetian)

Yep, you’re seeing Grand Lux Cafe listed twice. We love it that much!

If you’ve seen some of our hotel reviews, you’ll know that we’re big fans of staying at The Venetian Resort when we’re traveling with big groups. We’re a pretty economical bunch, and Grand Lux has been a staple restaurant of ours for many, many years.

You get big portions (great for sharing) with prices that are really reasonable too. Most items are under $20 which is great value when it comes to the Las Vegas Strip.

It’s one of the best places to eat at any time of the day, honestly. They have their breakfast items, lunch specials, an extensive lunch/dinner menu, and even a late-night menu that runs from midnight til 6 am (perfect for those post-nightlife meals).

Address: Inside both the Venetian Tower and Palazzo Tower; 3355 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Carmine’s (Caesars Palace)

18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (4)

Carmine’s Italian Restaurantis the epitome of family-style dining done right. Originating in NYC, they’ve brought their Southern Italian family-style magic over to Las Vegas.

The first thing you’ll notice when looking at the menu: the high prices. But hang on to your hats.

The portions here are meant to feed 3-4 people, so while the prices on the menu may look quite a bit higher than usual, once you divide the cost by how many diners you have, the per-person price shouldn’t be bad at all.

And when I say the portions are massive, I mean it. Don’t come if you’re eating alone or even as a party of 2.

For example, if you order garlic bread, it will come with about 9 fat slices. And if you order a pasta dish like the angel hair and meatballs, a single order could easily satisfy a family of 4.

The place is roomy, which is a plus, especially if you’re rolling with a larger group. The service? Also top-notch. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are recommended.

Address: Forum Shops at Caesars Palace Hotel & Casino (3500 S Las Vegas Blvd Las Vegas, NV 89109)

The Crack Shack (Park MGM)

18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (5)

We’ve loved Crack Shack since the moment we took our first bites out of their fried chicken sandwich in their original San Diego location. If you’re craving something casual and crispy, make it a point to go here!

The reason why we’re addicted to Crack Shack is because they use chicken thighs as the meat of the sandwiches (though they do have chicken breast options).

This equates to the most tender, juicy, and irresistible fried chicken sandwich you’ll ever have! Hands down, Crack Shack has consistently maintained its spot in my top five fried chicken sandwich spots across the USA, and I don’t care what you think — I stand by that!

This fast-casual restaurant is located just outside of Park MGM. Most of the menu items are under $15.

Eataly (Park MGM)

18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (6)

Eatalyis easily my favorite attraction atPark MGM. This Italian marketplace and food hall is a foodie’s paradise. It’s even been called a gastronomic theme park for foodies!

The massive space that makes up Eataly features several different restaurants, including a pizza bar, a sandwich shop, a pasta bar, a seafood-focused restaurant, and a wine bar.

You can also grab coffee and pastries, get a scoop of gelato, or shop for high-quality Italian groceries to take home such as cookies, olive oils, pantry items, cheeses, and meats (there are both butcher and salumeria stations). And surprisingly, the groceries here are not as overpriced as you’d think!

Having been to the LA location, the Bay Area location, andthe Vegas location, I’ve gotta say that the Vegas Eataly is my favorite when it comes to layout. Yes, the food prices are elevated compared to other Eataly’s, but it’s expected — you’re in Vegas, after all.

Proper Eats Food Hall (ARIA)

18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (7)

For another casual food hall dining experience with lots of affordable options, head toProper Eats Food Hallat.

Try the gourmet egg sandos fromEgghead, indulge in a comforting bowl of ramen fromLaughing Buddha Ramen, skip the hype at Carbone by opting forParm Famous Italianinstead, try Steve Aoki’s (surprisingly good) pizza atPizzaoki, and satisfy your sweet tooth atEasy Donuts.

Other options include the first Wexler’s Deli outside of Los Angeles; London’s famous Seoul Bird; and Clique’s newest concept, Temaki, serving fresh, innovative handrolls and other modern sushi dishes. In total, you’ll find ~10-12 eateries here, including the spacious Proper Bar.

And if you’re into bottomless mimosas and bloody marys, be sure to head there on Saturdays and Sundays.

Keep an eye out for their special events too. From live music to themed parties, their events calendar is packed with exciting happenings throughout the year. They have parties for Sunday football games, Valentine’s Day, March Madness, and lots more throughout the year.

Address: Within ARIA, Promenade Level, 3730 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89158

Earl of Sandwich (PH)

Earl of Sandwichused to be our go-to meal when we stayed at Planet Hollywood. It was fast, cheap, relatively healthy, and the best-tasting thing at PH for budget travelers.

And it’s not just me, a TON of people love it. It’s been a long-time favorite of Vegas-goers who just need a quick bite at a decent price!

With warm and melty creations served on freshly baked bread, each bite is flavor-packed. It’s no wonder this place has a cult following—it’s simply sandwich perfection.

And it makes for a pretty convenient dinner when you just need something to eat right before seeing a show or hitting the clubs! They also have salads and even a breakfast menu too.

Address: Floor 1 of Miracle Mile Shops, 3667 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Pro Tip

Planet Hollywood is one of the most budget-friendly spots on the Strip, perfect for those looking to save money without sacrificing fun.

After enjoying a meal, head over to Blondies Sports Bar and Grill for cheap drinks and a spot to watch the game, Fat Tuesday for frozen daiquiris on the go, or Flights, where you can take advantage of their all-day happy hour specials on flights of drinks.

Plus, PH is home to several budget-friendly shows, like Vegas! The Show, Zombie Burlesque (an odd but fun one), and The Mentalist, so you can even enjoy some entertainment without breaking the bank.

Nacho Daddy (PH)

If nachos, tacos, and margaritas are what you’re after, Nacho Daddy (also at Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops) is a superb option. Expect the most gourmet Tex-Mex-style nachos you’ve ever tasted!

The portion sizes are huge, so maybe think about sharing a plate of nachos with 1-2 others. The menu has a lot of options, but if you have no idea where to start, just get the surf and turf nachos and thank me later.

Best of all, most of the sharable menu items range from $20-25. No, the bank will not be broken today.

Nacho Daddy is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night too, so feel free to pop in anytime from the first to the fourth meal.

Tacos El Gordo

18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (8)

Tacos El Gordo is a legendary taco spot in Las Vegas, loved for its late-night hours, convenient location on the Strip, and amazing Tijuana-style tacos.

Originating from Southern California, this iconic street taco chain has carved a niche for itself by delivering authentic and affordable tacos that have earned them a devoted following!

The most iconic thing to get at Tacos El Gordo is the “Adobada” taco (pork). This creation features thinly sliced marinated pork, traditionally cooked on a vertical spit, and then piled onto warm corn tortillas. Don’t forget to ask them for a slice of pineapple for each one of your tacos.

When they ask you “con todo?”, or “with everything?”, your answer should always be yes (if you have no allergies). We’re drooling just thinking about it now — this was our go-to spot after a night of clubbing at XS!

There are currently four locations spread across Las Vegas, so take your pick! Just note that the one on S Las Vegas Blvd tends to be busy at all times. It may look like a zoo in there, but the lines move rather quickly.

Address: 3041 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Block 16 Urban Food Hall (The Cosmopolitan)

18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (9)

Block 16 Urban Food Hallis yet another one of the hip and trendy food halls popping up all over Las Vegas. It’s the perfect spot to go hunting for creative and casual eats with your group.

You can find mouthwatering flatbread sandwiches and rice bowls atBāng Bar by Momof*cku, indulgent donuts and sliders fromDistrict: Donuts. Sliders. Brew., as well asHattie B’s Hot Chicken’sfiery Nashville-style chicken, andLardo’sover-the-top sandwiches.

Many of these restaurants are extremely famous in their originating city/state, so be sure to try whatever sounds good to you! While we haven’t tried the Vegas locations of all these restaurants, chances are, everything will be delicious.

Secret Pizza (The Cosmopolitan)

18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (10)

Ah, Secret Pizza. Go here if a slice of NY pizza is what you’re craving.

Located on the upper floor ofThe Cosmopolitan, these days it’s really not-so-secret at all. I mean, was it ever? While the door is still unmarked, you can easily find it by looking for the line coming out the door.

While I’m a regular cheese slice kinda gal, I’ve taken bites out of other people’s slices and they’ve all been wonderful. The crust is always thin and crispy, as it should be!

While yes, there are better NY-style pizza spots in Las Vegas, good ones are hard to find on the Strip. This one gets the job done.

They’re open til 4 AM, so if you want a slice of NY goodness, you better leave the club or the bar before then.

The LINQ Promenade

18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (11)

At first, I was going to just list In-N-Out, but then realized that the entire LINQ Promenadeis worth mentioning here. This open-air district is filled with a wide range of affordable/casual dining options, including both quick bites and sit-down restaurants.

Indulge in carnival-inspired eats atBuddy’s Jersey Eatsby Cake Boss Buddy Valastro, or savor comfort food classics with a twist atGuy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar. For a taste of Italy, head toThe Boss Cafefor casual Italian-American fare crafted by Valastro himself.

Seafood lovers can feast on authentic British fish and chips atGordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, while those craving tacos and margs can enjoy a meal atChayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar.

Other highlights include freshly brewed coffee and pastries atNook Express, gourmet brick oven pizza atFlour & Barley, and decadent chocolate desserts at SF-basedGhirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop.

Even with all that said, there’s WAY more. Like we said, you will find a looooot of options atThe LINQ Hotel + Promenade.

White Castle (Casino Royale)

18+ Cheap Places To Eat On The Las Vegas Strip (That Are ACTUALLY Good) - GoVegasGuide (13)

In 1921, White Castle introduced the world to The Original Slider. After 100 years and over a few billion sold, this steam-grilled 2×2-inch 100% Beef patty has been named the world’s most iconic burger.

While it might not claim the title of the best burger you’ll ever have, it’s a must-visit spot for anyone looking to check off their Vegas bucket list. Known for its crave-worthy sliders, these 2-4 bite burgers are perfect for satisfying those late-night cravings without breaking the bank.

Each slider is priced at just $2, but they get slightly cheaper if you opt for one of their Castle Combos or order a larger number of sliders.

Open 24/7, White Castle is a dependable destination for a quick bite after a night of fun on the Strip (or any time of the day, really!).
